Who can apply?
Anyone who has received a cancer diagnosis may apply. Friends and family members may apply on behalf of an individual, but must submit a signed statement by a medical provider.
How much are the grants?
Currently individuals can apply for up to $3,000 in 2024.
How do I receive the funds?
In order to receive a grant, you must submit copies of receipts that you incurred related to a medical expense or travel for medical-related treatments. FCCC cannot disperse grants without receipts of expenses.
What types of expenses can I submit?
FCCC reimburses expenses related to medical treatments. Typical travel expenses include: airfare, lodging, rental car, gasoline charges, taxis, shuttles, bus and ferry tickets, and other travel-related expeses.
Medical bills and equipment that are not covered by insurance, or other expenses related to your cancer treatment can also be covered.
Other exceptions will be considered on a case-by- case basis.
